The railroads are replaced with SEPTA, the Electric Company logo is unchanged, and the Water Works is replaced with PGW. Seems like they missed a chance there…we have a freaking landmark called the Water Works!

Strawbridge’s really took off after this puppy launched.

So what corporate jerkoff sponsored this happy crap? Of course, Corestates (which is now Wells Fargo), but seriously. No Liberty Bell, Sixers, or Flyers? Temple but no St. Joe’s, Penn, or Drexel? South Street at least deserves the Baltic Ave purple spot. Or put in some creative effort and change jail to either Eastern State Penitentiary or a basement with locks in West Philly. I was only a suburban youngin’ in ’96 and obviously didn’t know the landscape too well, but this still chaps my ass. Reading Terminal Market is one of the greatest places in the country and Corestates decides to go full corporate and give themselves two properties, including the coveted Boardwalk real estate. At least put Independence Hall or the Art Museum in that spot. After this sad display of representing Philadelphia somebody better have been fired or banished to Camden.

If the 2016 version were sponsored it would have every property owned by Comcast with Rich Uncle Pennybag’s front and center flipping the double bird. That company is Lucifer itself.
